ÐÓ°ÉPro

This webinar supports the launch of the ÐÓ°ÉPro Framework for Practice on the Management of Neonatal Pain.

Families expect neonatal health professionals to recognise, assess, prevent and treat pain, given the long‑term risks of early pain exposure. Neonatal services must therefore develop clear guidelines using both non‑pharmacological and pharmacological approaches.

This webinar will outline key principles of neonatal pain management and support healthcare professionals in creating effective local guidelines.

You will hear from members of the Framework working group and have the chance to ask questions at a panel Q&A session

Programme

  • Introduction to the framework - Neelam Gupta, Consultant Neonatologist (NICU), Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, Joint Chair
  • Management of Procedural Pain - Judith Meek, Consultant Neonatologist (NICU), Honorary Associate Professor University College London
  • Non-pharmacological management - Beverley Hicks, Clinical Specialist Neonatal Occupational Therapist, Representative for RCOT
  • Pharmacological management - Suzannah Hibberd, Lead Neonatal Specialist Pharmacist,  Representative for NPPG, Joint Chair
