ÐÓ°ÉPro has been notified of 3 instances, in a single unit within 24 hours, of intraperitoneal extravasation of parenteral nutrition fluid in preterm infants of less than 27 weeks gestation with Vygon double-lumen umbilical venous catheters in place.
The unit in question has contacted Vygon and the MHRA. Please be vigilant with such lines and notify ÐÓ°ÉPro of any adverse events with these.
